Govind Foundary & Engineering Works

You’ll find Govind Foundary & Engineering Works right along G. T. Road. Being on such a main road means there’s never a quiet moment. There is always the sound of traffic outside and the sound of hammers or machines inside. It’s a hot and dirty job working in a foundry, but we don't mind it much. We’ve got iron and metal in our blood, I guess. We do a lot of engineering work too, fixing things or making new parts when someone needs them. The walls of the shop are covered in soot and there’s always a bit of metal scrap on the floor. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch where you step. We have a small crew and we’ve all worked together for a long time, so we know how each other works without having to say much. The G. T. Road location is handy for getting materials delivered. Sometimes the heat from the furnace is almost too much in the summer, but we just drink more water and keep moving. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing we’re here. If you need something made out of metal or a machine part repaired, you just walk in and talk to us. We’re just local guys doing technical work with our hands every day.
