Burhani Building Material

We are based right in the middle of Village Palsud. Our shop is at the post address for Palsud, in Rajpur Tehsil, down in Barwani district. It’s a very local kind of place. We have all the usual stuff people need for building—cement bags, piles of sand, and of course, plenty of bricks. The building is a bit old, and the walls have some cracks, but it holds everything we need. Most of our customers are folks from the village or nearby in the district who are fixing up their homes or starting something new. We don't do anything fancy with marketing. People just walk in or call us when they see the truck passing by. The heat in Barwani can be something else, so we try to get the heavy loading done early in the morning before it gets too bad. We keep a tally on a notepad and don't use many computers. It’s more of a face-to-face business. You get to know everyone's name after a while. The village stays pretty quiet except for the occasional tractor. We spend a lot of time just sitting out front, waiting for the next delivery or chatting with someone who stopped by for a handful of nails. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough. We don’t need much more than that. The day usually ends when the tea shop down the street closes up and we lock the front gate.
