Sudip Ghosh Infotech (Opc) Private Limited is our little company over in Simlaguri. We are actually located on the ground floor of the Bank of India building right on Barpeta Road. Being near the bank makes it really easy for people to find us. We’ve been here for a while now, handling all sorts of infotech jobs. Since it’s an OPC, it’s a bit more personal than those big corporations you see in the news. We do a lot of data work and computer repairs, plus whatever else people in Barpeta Road need help with. The office gets a bit noisy sometimes because of the traffic and the people coming and going from the bank, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have any flashy signs or expensive furniture. It’s just a practical space with the tools we need. We usually open up early and stay until the work is finished. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just take one job at a time and try to stay organized. Living and working in Simlaguri is pretty good. You get to know your neighbors and the other shop owners. We aren't looking to change the world or anything, just providing a useful service to the local community here. If the power stays on, we can get a lot done in a day. It’s honest work and we like it.
