Deepak Handloom Handicraft Industries is the place. We are located near Tt Public School. If you go behind the Goushala in Laxmi Pura, you will find us. Being near the school means it gets really noisy twice a day when the kids are coming or going. The Goushala is also right there, so you hear the cows and there’s that specific smell in the air, you know how it is in these parts. Laxmi Pura is a working-class kind of area. Our building is simple and honest. We do a lot of handloom work here. There’s always the sound of machines or tools humming in the background. It’s not a quiet office. The floors are concrete and there’s usually some dust from the materials we use. We’ve been in this spot for a good while. The commute isn't too bad for me. I usually park my bike near the entrance. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and we are there working. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stacks of fabric and finished items waiting to go out. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. It’s a real place for real work. Sometimes the tea man comes by and that's the highlight of the afternoon.
