Sai Bricks

Working out here in the rural area of Jajpur is quite a change from the busier towns. Sai Bricks is located near Baltri Ribha in Mayurbhanj, and it is a pretty quiet spot most of the time. The roads around here aren't always the best, especially after a heavy rain, so getting the bricks out can be a real challenge sometimes. We are surrounded by a lot of green space and open fields, which is nice, but it means we are a bit far from everything. Most of the people who work here are from the local villages. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. The red soil in this part of Mayurbhanj is what we use, and it gets into everything—your shoes, your hair, and all over the equipment. It’s just the way it is when you’re making bricks in a place like this. We don't have any fancy machines; it's mostly manual work and keeping an eye on the fire. People find us by asking around near Baltri Ribha because we don't have a big sign on the main road. It’s a humble setup, but it keeps us busy and provides what the local builders need. We don't try to polish things up for anyone. If you come by, you’ll see us just as we are, working in the dirt and making sure the bricks are solid.
