We are based on Nainital Road in Koharapeer, Bareilly. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Alka Hotel. Our work mostly revolves around religious events and night-long celebrations. You will often find our office filled with the sounds of people practicing or discussing the next set for a jagran. It is not a very quiet place, but that is how we like it. We have our musical instruments like dhols and harmoniums stacked up in the corner. Most of the action happens late at night when the city is usually sleeping. We coordinate with different singers and musicians who have been working with us for years. The tea stall next door is where we spend most of our breaks, just chatting about the upcoming schedule. It is a humble setup, nothing like those big corporate event planners you see in the movies. We write our bookings in old-fashioned registers and keep track of everything on a wall calendar. Sometimes the weather in Bareilly gets a bit rough, but we still manage to get the stage and sound ready on time. We have seen many families in the neighborhood grow up and call us for their functions year after year. It is a lot of physical labor, moving heavy equipment around and setting up lights, but it is what we know how to do. We just focus on getting the job done and making sure the music sounds right for everyone.
