Maa Vaishno Building Material Store

Our store is located on Badaun Road in the Subhash Nagar Colony. We are right near the Vivha Barat Ghar, so it gets very lively around here during the wedding season. You can hear the music and see the lights from the shop while we are finishing up for the day. We deal with all sorts of building materials like bricks and sand and cement. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around. The front of the store is usually covered in samples so people can see what they are getting. We aren't trying to be fancy. The building is older and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it does the job. My nephew helps me with the heavy stuff on the weekends. We have a lot of people from the colony coming in when they are fixing up their homes or adding a new room. Badaun Road is always busy, so there's a lot of noise from the cars and motorcycles. We keep a ledger on the desk to track everything. It's a bit old-fashioned but it works for us. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the truck to come from the city. We just tell people to come back in a couple of days. We don't have a big website or anything like that. We just talk to people face to face. It’s a good way to run a business in a neighborhood like this. We are just local people selling what the neighbors need for their houses.
