Chaudhary Traders

Our shop, Chaudhary Traders, is located in the Kuhada Peer area of Bareilly. We are right opposite the Hayat Building, which is a big enough place that most people can find us without much trouble. Bareilly is a crowded city, and Kuhada Peer is no different. The street is narrow and there are always people shouting or motorbikes honking their horns. I’ve been working here for a long time now, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The Hayat Building is always busy, and I often sit on a stool out front just watching the crowds while I wait for a customer to come in. Dealing with traders and suppliers is a big part of my day, and there’s always a lot of paperwork that I’m not very good at keeping organized. My desk is usually covered in receipts and scraps of paper with phone numbers on them. When it rains, the street outside gets very muddy, and I have to put out some old cardboard so people don't track it all into the shop. It’s a lot of work and some days I wonder why I do it, but then a regular customer comes by for a chat and it feels okay again. We don't do anything fancy here, just basic trading and trying to keep the business going in the middle of a busy city.
