Our place is over at 249 Civil Lines. Being near the Police Ground makes it easy to explain to people who aren’t from around here. Gujarat Krishi Machinery Limited has been in this spot for quite some time now. It’s a decent area, though it can get pretty loud when there’s something going on at the grounds. We spend our days dealing with the machinery and the various requests that come through. The building is older, and you can tell by the way the doors creak sometimes. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. There’s a front area where people stop in, and then the back where the real work gets done. Most of us here have grease under our fingernails at some point in the day. It’s just the nature of what we do. We like the location because it’s central and people know the Civil Lines area well. We don’t bother with big marketing campaigns or anything like that. Word usually gets around through people talking to each other. We show up, we do what needs doing, and we go home to our families. Some days are slower than others, and on those days, we might just sit and have a chat about the weather or the local news. It’s a straightforward way to run things, and it works for us and the people who come by. We just try to keep things moving along steadily.
