Shree Maruti Agro is at Bardoli E 5. If you're looking for farming supplies, this is where we are. We have been operating out of this unit for a good while. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we keep the shutters halfway down. Inside, you will find bags of fertilizer and different types of equipment. It’s a practical space. We don’t have fancy displays or bright lights. Mostly, it’s just sturdy shelves and a sturdy counter. We talk to a lot of local farmers who are worried about their harvest. We listen more than we talk usually. Every morning starts with a sweep of the floor and checking what arrived on the truck. Sometimes the delivery guys are late, and we have to reorganize the whole day. We keep a ledger for the accounts. It’s all hand-written. We find it easier that way. Bardoli is a place where everyone knows everyone. We see the same people every week. They might just stop by for a chat even if they don’t need anything. We have some old chairs in the corner for that. The stock changes with the weather. Right now, we’re getting ready for the next planting cycle. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy bags. Our backs hurt by the end of the day, but it’s okay. We just close up and head home for some rest.
