D. H. & Co.

We are out in Harerdanga, which is part of the Dubrajdighi area in the Purba Burdwan district. D. H. & Co. isn't some big city firm with glass walls. We are based out here where things move a bit slower, and people actually know each other. The roads around here can be a bit dusty, especially during the dry season, but it’s a good place to be. We’ve got a decent amount of space for our operations. Most of our days are spent checking inventory and talking to locals who stop by. We handle a lot of the logistical stuff that comes with being in a district like this. The weather really dictates our pace sometimes. When the monsoons hit, things get a bit messy, but we just adjust. We’ve been part of this community for a while now. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just provide what’s needed and try to be fair about it. The staff is mostly people from nearby villages, so it feels more like a family than a workplace. We don't have big meetings or anything; we usually just talk over tea in the morning about what needs to get done. It’s a straightforward way of doing things, and it has worked for us so far. There’s always work to be done, and we’re just happy to be doing it here without any unnecessary fuss or polished corporate attitudes.
