If you’ve ever been down Jain Gali No. 4 in Baraut, you know how tight those streets can get. Our place on Bhagwan Mahavir Marg is right in the thick of it. Most mornings start with the sound of shutters opening all down the lane. We spend a lot of time just moving crates and boxes from one side of the room to the other. S. K. Trading & Company isn't a huge operation, just a few of us making sure things get where they need to go. We deal with a lot of different traders every day, and some of them have been coming to this spot for years. The tea stall nearby does a good business because we're always ordering rounds for whoever is stopping by to talk business. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the main road, but we've learned to just wait it out. The office is small and filled with stacks of old ledgers and papers that we probably should have cleared out a long time ago. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock in, but we manage to find space. It’s not the most modern setup you’ll see, but it works for what we do. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the trading part of it without making a big fuss or using fancy systems.
