We set up Kk Real Estate at Shop No. 7 on Rnt Road in Panihati quite some time ago. It’s a small shop, but it serves its purpose. Panihati is a place where everyone kind of knows what’s going on, and we try to keep up with the local housing market. Most of our day is spent talking to people who want to rent a room or sell a bit of land. We aren't a big chain with hundreds of offices. It’s just this one spot on Rnt Road. You might see us standing outside the shop talking to neighbors or checking the notices we put up. Real estate here isn't always fast, but we keep at it. We handle the documents and make sure the keys get handed over to the right people. Sometimes things get complicated with the paperwork, so we spend time at the local offices getting things sorted. It’s not glamorous work. It involves a lot of walking around and looking at old buildings or new plots in the sun. We don't make big promises. We just tell people what is available and what the price is. The shop is a bit cluttered with files and maps, but we know where everything is. People stop by because they’ve seen our sign or heard about us from a friend. We just keep the door open and wait to see who needs help next. It’s been our way of doing things for years.
