Shandilya Tractor Parts

Our shop is located in Siswali, not far from the Mangrol Road. We focus on tractor parts because almost everyone around this area is involved in farming one way or another. It’s a busy little place, especially during the plowing and harvesting seasons when everyone is in a big hurry to fix their machines. We have shelves full of gears, filters, and various metal bits that I sometimes forget the names of. I’ve been working here since I finished my schooling. My father taught me which parts fit which models of tractors. It’s a lot to keep in your head. The shop usually smells like oil and old metal, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We don't have air conditioning, so the summer months are pretty tough on everyone. We just keep the big shutters open and drink a lot of cold water. Customers usually come in with a broken part in their hand, hoping we have a replacement sitting on the shelf. Sometimes we have to order things from the city, which takes a few days to arrive. We try to keep the most common items in stock so the farmers don't lose too much time in the fields. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s important work for our community here. We know the history of almost every tractor in the village. It’s just a regular parts shop for regular people.
