Shree Computer Institute is right there on Shree Ram Galli, just above Uttam Opticians on the second floor. The stairs are a bit steep, so you have to watch your step coming up. We have a row of computers that we’ve put together over the years. Some are newer than others, but they all work well enough for learning. We teach basic typing, some office software, and how to use the internet for things like bills and applications. It’s a small place, so when all the students are here at once, it gets a bit warm. We have a few fans going, but they mostly just move the air around. I’m usually the one teaching, though sometimes I have a former student help out when I’m busy. We don't have a fancy curriculum or shiny certificates with gold seals. We just show people how to use the machines so they don't feel left behind in this digital world. A lot of older folks come in wanting to learn how to video call their grandkids, and we enjoy helping with that. Sometimes the power cuts out and we all just sit and chat until it comes back on. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. We aren't a big university, just a local spot where you can learn some useful skills without feeling intimidated by the technology. We’ve been here for a while and the sign downstairs is getting a bit faded.
