Lakade Earth Movers

Lakade Earth Movers is based in Ward No-6, Nira, over on the Pandharpur Road in Baramati. We are right near the Panderpur Puna Road junction, so it’s a lot of traffic passing by all day. It’s a dusty corner of the world, but it’s where we work. We have a few machines that we keep busy around Baramati. Most of our days are spent out in the sun, moving piles of dirt or leveling out ground for new projects. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean. By lunchtime, everything is covered in a layer of fine grit. We don't have a big corporate office. Our office is more like a shed where we keep the tools and the grease guns. The machines take a lot of maintenance to keep them from falling apart on the job. We do most of the repairs ourselves right here on Pandharpur Road. It’s a practical way to live. We’ve been here long enough that people know the sound of our engines. We don't make any big promises; we just do what we're asked to do with the machines we have. Some days are long and some are short, depending on how the equipment holds up. We just keep plugging away, one bucket of earth at a time. It’s just what we do to get by in Baramati. There isn't much else to say besides the fact that the work gets done eventually.
