Jain Traders

Jain Traders is over in Tehsil Fatehpur, which is part of the Barabanki district. We are very close to the railway station, so we hear the trains going by all day and night. It is a busy little corner of town. Being near the tracks makes it easy for people to find us, though the noise can be a bit much sometimes when you are trying to talk on the phone. We do our trading business from this location and have been here for a good while. Most of the people around here know us by name. It is not a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We have some desks, some ledgers, and a lot of bags moving in and out. The weather in Barabanki gets really tough in the rainy season, and the ground near the station gets quite muddy, but we manage. We just open up in the morning and stay until the work for the day is finished. Sometimes we sit outside and have tea while waiting for a shipment to arrive. It is a straightforward life, just buying and selling what the local people need. We don't spend money on big signs or advertising because word of mouth usually does the job for us in Fatehpur. If you are getting off a train, we are just a short walk away. It’s a good enough spot for us.
