We started Madhur Academy over in Nai Abadi. It’s tucked away in Shyam Colony, specifically at E-6. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we get the daily work done. Kids come in after their regular school hours are finished. It gets pretty noisy when they all arrive at once and start talking. We spend a lot of time checking their notebooks and explaining things they didn't catch in class. Sometimes the chalk runs out or the pens go missing. That's just part of the job. We aren't trying to be some big national chain or anything like that. We're just here in the neighborhood. The desks are a bit old and have some scratches, but they work fine. We spend our evenings here mostly. During exam time, it gets really hectic and we stay late. Parents drop their kids off and we do what we can to help them. It’s a lot of repetition. Shyam Colony is a quiet place usually, except for when our sessions are in progress. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most people just find us by walking past the building or hearing about us from a neighbor. We try to keep the lights on and the atmosphere focused. It's a lot of paper and books piled everywhere. We just want to help the local kids get through their lessons. It's steady work and we enjoy it. Most days we are tired but it feels okay.
