Paresh Nath Banejee

Paresh Nath Banejee is the name on the sign, and Barjora is where we are located. This is part of the Bankura district, a place known for its red soil and hardworking people. I have been around here for many years, seeing how things change and how they stay the same. My business is not a huge company with lots of managers. It’s a local effort. We operate out of a small space in Barjora where we can keep an eye on everything. We don't use much technology beyond what is necessary. Life in Bankura has its own rhythm, and we follow that. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes work slow, but we keep at it. Our customers are usually our neighbors or people from nearby villages. We don't put up big advertisements or try to sound like we are from the city. We speak the local language and we understand what people here need. It’s about being reliable and showing up every day. I handle most of the paperwork myself, even though I don’t much like sitting at a desk. I’d rather be out talking to people or seeing how the work is progressing. There is a lot of pride in being a local business owner in Barjora. It isn't always easy, but it’s what we do. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs finishing today.
