Joyguru Flour Mill

Our little mill, Joyguru Flour Mill, is located in Salda Village. It is right in the Jaypur Block of Bankura District. If you are looking for us, we are very close to the Shiv Mandir, so you can just follow the sound of the grinding stones. We spend our days turning wheat and grains into flour for the local families. It gets very white and dusty inside from all the flour in the air. We have a couple of machines that hum along all day. People from the village bring their small bags of grain, and we grind it for them while they wait or they go to the temple and come back later. It is a quiet life for the most part, except for the noise of the mill. We like being near the temple because there is always some activity nearby. The building is just a simple structure, nothing special to look at, but it gets the job done. We have been here in Salda for a long time, and we know almost everyone who walks through the door. Sometimes children come in with their parents, and they like to watch the flour come out of the chute. We do not have any big trucks or global exports, just a local service for the folks living around Jaypur Block. It is steady, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down and we lock up for the night.
