Canaraflex

Our place is at 43/10 in Kachanayakana Halli, which is part of the Bommasandra Industrial Area. If you know the south side of Bangalore, you know how busy this belt gets with all the factories and trucks. Canaraflex has been operating from this shed for a good while now. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't familiar with the industrial layout, but we like it here. We work on various flexible materials and packaging stuff. The machines hum all day, and it gets a bit noisy inside, so we usually step out for a breather when we can. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that's usually when we all take a minute to talk about things other than work. It’s a small team, mostly local people who live nearby or commute from the city. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or making the office look perfect. Most of our space is taken up by rolls of material and the equipment we use every day. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a bit of a pain, but we have a backup to keep things going. It's just a regular workspace where everyone knows their job. We try to get everything finished before the evening traffic starts building up on the highway. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We just focus on getting the orders ready and loaded onto the small tempos that come by.
