Up here on the first floor at 46-F, we have a quiet little spot. It’s an old building on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road and those stairs can really get to you if you’re carrying a heavy bag. Unique Infotech Private Limited is mostly just a few of us sitting at our desks and staring at screens. A lot of the time, the only sound is the keyboards clicking or the hum of the old server in the corner. We handle things like tech support and data work, so some days are pretty slow while others are a total mess when a system goes down. The afternoon light comes through the window nicely, even if the street noise from below is constant with all the shouting and horns. There isn't a fancy reception area here. Just a couple of plastic chairs for visitors and our workstations. Because of the heat in the summer, that AC unit runs all day long and makes a rattling sound. When we need a break from the monitors, someone usually heads downstairs to grab tea for the group. It is a plain, functional place that serves us well enough for the work we do. Over the years, we have gotten to know the other people in the building. Sometimes the cables under the desks get into a huge tangle and we spend hours sorting them out just to feel organized again. It isn't a showroom, it’s just where we work.
