Nandan Packing Works

Our place is tucked away behind the Anjaneya Temple here in Maruthi Layout. It’s a bit of a maze in Chokkasandra if you aren’t used to the turns around the 2nd Phase. We are on the 2nd Cross. We do packing work, mostly for the smaller shops and industries in the P.I.A area. It has been our home base for many years. People usually find us by looking for the temple first and then asking around. We handle a lot of bubble wrap, tape, and wooden crates. The workshop gets really crowded when a big shipment comes in and we have to move fast. We don't have a massive office or anything. It’s mostly just the work floor and a small desk where we keep the papers and the phone. The guys here know how to pack stuff so it doesn't break when it’s on the back of a truck. We’ve seen all sorts of items come through these doors. Some are heavy engine parts, others are just fragile glass things. We use a lot of manual labor to get things sorted and labeled. It’s loud because of the tape guns and the hammers, but we like the noise. It means we have plenty of work. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. By the afternoon, the tea break is the highlight of the day. It’s a simple setup for honest work.
