R M S Electronics is located right where Jayanagar meets the Paud Phata area, near Bhusari Colony. It is a busy spot, and there is always a lot of dust from the road that finds its way into the shop. We spend a good chunk of our time wiping down the glass counters so people can actually see what is inside. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things pretty high up to fit everything in. Sometimes it feels like a bit of a maze back there in the storage room. We have a small radio that stays tuned to the local station all day, mostly for background noise while we handle the electronics. Most people who come in are regulars from the colony who have been living here as long as we have been open. We don't really do much advertising or anything; people just know we are here. The floor is a bit uneven, so the chairs wobble if you don't sit in them just right. We have a small bench out front where we sit sometimes when the weather is nice, just to get some fresh air. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, especially with the small parts that seem to get lost easily. But we’ve got a system that mostly works, even if it looks messy to anyone else. It gets quiet in the evening which is a nice change from the morning rush.
