Om Telecom

If you know Basavanagudi, you know it’s a place with a lot of history and older buildings. That is where Om Telecom is located. We have been sitting here for quite a while, watching the neighborhood change around us. It is a small space, mostly filled with mobile accessories, cables, and various gadgets that people need for their daily lives. We spend a lot of time explaining how different plans work or helping someone put a screen guard on without getting bubbles under the glass. It’s a steady kind of work. The mornings are usually quiet, giving us time to sweep the floor and organize the shelves. By evening, it gets much busier when people are coming home from work and realize they need a recharge or a new pair of earphones. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the regulars by name. The shop has that smell of electronics and maybe a bit of incense from the morning prayer. We keep things simple here. There are no fancy uniforms or scripted greetings. We just talk to people like normal and try to help them with whatever tech problem they brought in. Sometimes we run out of a specific item and have to wait for the distributor to show up on his scooter. It’s just how things run in this part of town, and we are okay with that pace. It is a good way to spend the day and meet the neighbors.
