Mts Store

Down on South End Road 85, that’s where we keep the Mts Store. It’s an old building, and the shop has a lot of character, mostly because things aren't perfectly straight or new. We’ve got shelves that we built ourselves and a counter that’s seen better days. It doesn't matter much to us, though, as long as it holds the stock. We spend our time checking inventory and talking to the people who drop by. We don't have a big staff, so if one of us is out, the other has to do everything. It gets a bit hectic during the lunch hour when everyone seems to come in at once. We don’t use any fancy corporate talk or slogans. We just try to find what people are looking for. If we don't have it, we say so. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know a lot of the folks who walk past. We don't do any online advertising or social media stuff. We just rely on being here every day at the same time. The sun hits the front window pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually have to pull the shade down a bit. It’s just a normal shop where we work hard and try to stay organized. We don't have any big plans to change things; we just like keeping the store going for the neighborhood.
