Mts Store

Mts Store is situated in Krisnarajapuram, right next to the Ambicanagar Bridge. You can hear the cars going over the bridge throughout the day. It’s a constant hum that we’ve just learned to ignore. The shop itself is a bit of a plain building, but it serves its purpose. We don’t have any bright lights or big displays to catch people's attention. People usually find us because they need something specific. We’ve got a small back room where we keep most of the extra stuff. It’s a bit dark back there, but we know where everything is. We handle the daily tasks ourselves, from opening the shutters in the morning to locking up at night. It’s a lot of physical work, but it’s honest. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon, so we keep a bucket handy. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s ours. We aren't interested in sounding professional or corporate. We just talk to people like we’re talking to neighbors. Most of the time, that’s exactly what they are. We’ve been by the bridge for quite a while now. We’ve seen the area change, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s a simple operation at Mts Store, and we plan to keep it that way for the foreseeable future. We don't need fancy things to get the work done right.
