Mithrasangama Film Institute

Our institute is based in Banashankari, tucked between the 2nd Stage and 1st Stage areas at number 97. If you know Bangalore, you know Banashankari has a lot of character and some very hilly roads. We are in a spot that is easy enough to find if you are familiar with the landmarks around here. The building is a bit older, and we have our rooms set up on one of the floors. It is not a glitzy studio like you might see in the movies, but it is where we spend all our hours working on projects and talking about films. There is usually a lot of paper lying around, and maybe some old equipment in the corners. We don't have a big staff, so whoever is around usually answers the door or picks up the phone. The neighborhood has some nice trees, and there is a small canteen nearby where we often go to get coffee and talk shop. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, which is just part of living in this city, so we keep some backups ready. It is a functional space where we prioritize the work over the appearance of the office. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Most people who come here are just looking for a place to learn and get things done. It feels very local and grounded compared to the bigger institutes in the city center.
