Interline Publishing

We’ve got our office for Interline Publishing tucked away on 13th Cross in Ganganagar, specifically at number 13. It’s a quiet little street, which is nice when you’re trying to read through manuscripts or check proofs. The house we work out of is older and has a lot of little rooms filled with books. There are boxes of printed materials stacked up in the hallway and sometimes it’s a bit of a maze just to get to the back office. We don't have any of those modern open-plan desks. It’s more like a collection of old wooden tables and mismatched chairs. Ganganagar is a pleasant neighborhood. You can hear the birds in the morning and the occasional vegetable vendor passing by. We like the pace here. It’s not like being in the middle of the city where everything is rushing. We spend our days going through pages, talking to authors, and trying to get the formatting just right. It’s a lot of sitting and staring at screens or paper. Sometimes we lose track of time and realize it’s dark outside. We don’t have a big staff, just a few people who like books and know how to put them together. There isn't a lot of ceremony here. We just drink our coffee, do our editing, and try to keep the stacks of paper from falling over. It’s a quiet life, but we like the work we do in our little spot on 13th Cross.
