Working out of the Concor building over here on Whitefield Road is interesting. We are on the first floor of the administrative building at the ICD. Being near the containers all day long means Global Containers is always in the middle of the action. You can hear the trucks moving and the cranes sometimes if you listen close. It’s a lot of coordination. We spend our time checking numbers and making sure everything is where it needs to be. The office isn't huge, but we make it work with the desks we have. We’ve been at this for a bit now. Most of us take the train or bus to Whitefield, and the walk to the building wakes you up in the morning. Sometimes the coffee machine works, sometimes it doesn't, but we manage. It gets dusty around here with all the movement, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't trying to be some big corporate giant. We’re just a group of people making sure shipping containers go to the right places without too much fuss. People stop by the office to drop off paperwork throughout the day. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with logistics can be a headache, so we just take it one day at a time. It's a lot of emails and phone calls. By the time five o'clock rolls around, we're usually ready to head home and leave the yard behind for a while.
