Dmagpie is located in Bangalore City, right near Sane Chowk. If you spend any time in Bangalore, you know how the traffic can be, and Sane Chowk is no different. We are right in the thick of it. Our shop is a place where we keep various items that people might need throughout the day. It’s a local spot, nothing too elaborate. We open early because the city starts early. Most of the day is spent talking to people who stop by or checking our inventory to see what needs to be restocked. The shelves are usually full, though sometimes we run out of the most popular things unexpectedly. It’s a bit of a dusty environment sometimes with the windows open to the street, but that’s just life in the city. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from sweeping the floor to helping a customer find a specific item. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright flashing lights. It’s just a regular shop where we try to be helpful. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it’s quiet just to watch the cars go by. We’ve been at this spot long enough to know the local vendors and the people who live nearby. It’s a simple way to make a living in a big city like Bangalore. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in to browse around.
