Design

Our place is called Design and you can find us at Street No 1, house number 17 4, in Bhai Himmat Singh Nagar. It is off Craig Park Road. It’s a quiet residential street for the most part, which is nice for getting work done. I set up the shop here because it was close to where I live. We don't have a big storefront with lights. It is just a regular house where we have converted the front rooms into a workspace. People usually find us by looking for the number on the gate. We have some old tables and a couple of computers that have seen better days. It is just a few of us who like making things and drawing up plans. We don't have a big boss or anyone in a suit telling us what to do. We just take on whatever comes through the door. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat while we are working. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t have a mission statement or anything fancy like that. We just try to make sure the things we build don't fall apart. If the tea is hot and the power stays on, it's a good day for us. Street No 1 is home to us now and we plan to stay here as long as we can. It works for us and it keeps things simple.
