Working at Bharti Airtel Ltd at the Hebbal Maruthi Infotech Centre means being around a lot of tech companies. Our office is just one part of the bigger Hebbal area, which is always busy with people coming and going. It’s a large building, and sometimes it takes a minute to find the right entrance if you’re new here. We have a decent-sized space, but it’s very much a working office. There are cables everywhere and stacks of boxes in the corners. It’s not a place meant for showing off. We spend our hours looking at monitors and coordinating with other teams across the city. The noise from the flyover is a constant background hum that you eventually stop noticing. We don’t have fancy mission statements on the walls. Mostly, it’s just calendars and some personal photos on the desks. Lunch is usually a quick affair at the cafeteria or something brought from home. The lighting is a bit harsh, but you get used to it. We deal with a lot of data and hardware issues throughout the day. It’s the kind of place where things move fast, and we just try to keep up with the schedule. It feels like a very functional part of the landscape. We aren't here to impress anyone with the decor; we are just here to make sure things stay up and running. It is a long day usually, but we get through it together as a team.
