We are set up near the Bangalore Gpo, right in the center of the city. The building is at number 14, and it has that old-school Bangalore feel to it, before all the massive glass towers went up. It’s a decent place to work, with plenty of trees around that keep the air a bit cooler even in the summer. We spend our time working on technical projects, mostly sitting in front of screens and talking through designs. The office is practical, with basic desks and some old filing cabinets that have been here since we moved in. We don’t go in for flashy decorations or expensive carpet. It’s just a place where we come to get our tasks done. The GPO area is great because it’s easy for everyone to get to, though the traffic on the main road can be a nightmare in the evenings. We usually take turns making tea in the small pantry we have in the back. It’s a quiet team, and we mostly keep to ourselves, focusing on the details of the work. Sometimes we go out for a walk in the nearby park when we need a break from the monitors. We’ve been here for a good while, and the neighborhood feels familiar. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment, just a group of people doing their jobs steadily every day of the week.
