Working at Apco Concrete Blocks Allied Products means dealing with a lot of heavy stuff. We’re located at Jp 1St Phase near Dhayari Phata. The yard is usually full of stacked blocks waiting to be loaded onto trucks. It’s a dusty environment. You can’t really help it when you’re mixing and molding concrete all day. The machinery makes a lot of noise, but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend our time making sure the blocks come out solid and the right size. Sometimes a batch doesn't set quite right because of the weather, and we have to deal with that. It’s physical work. My boots are always covered in grey dust. We talk to contractors and drivers mostly. The 805 number on the gate is where people find us. Dhayari Phata is a busy spot for construction, so there's always a truck backing in or pulling out. We don't have a fancy office. Just a small desk where we keep the delivery notes and a fan that barely works in the heat. It’s not the kind of job you do if you want to stay clean. We just focus on getting the orders out on time. The sun can be pretty brutal in the open yard. We take our breaks in the shade and then get back to moving those blocks. It’s what we do. It’s heavy lifting but it keeps us busy.
