Apco Concrete Block Allied Products

We spend our days making concrete blocks and other building materials out near the Jp Nagar Vasant Kunj Bus Stand. The yard is at number 31 and it’s usually pretty dusty because of all the cement and sand we move around. It is heavy work, lifting the finished blocks and stacking them up for the trucks to take away. We have been doing this for quite some time now, supplying to local builders who are putting up houses or walls nearby. It’s not a glamorous job at all. You get dirty within the first hour of starting. The machines we use are old but they still press the blocks out just fine. We have a small office shed where we keep the books and take orders, but most of the action happens outside under the sun. It can get very hot in the summer, so we start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. People usually find us because they see the stacks of blocks from the road while they are waiting for the bus. We don't have any fancy marketing, just the blocks sitting there for everyone to see. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the rain slows us down and we have to cover everything up with plastic, but otherwise, we are always out there mixing and pouring.
