American Tourister

Our shop is right in the middle of Marathahalli. If you know this area, you know how the traffic can get sometimes, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading back from work. We are tucked in among the other businesses here. Every day starts about the same way. We get in, roll up the shutters, and start checking the stock. Most of the people who stop by are looking for something sturdy to carry their things. We have rows of bags and travel gear lining the walls. It can get a bit cramped when it’s busy, but we manage. We don’t really use a lot of big signs or anything, just the name American Tourister on the front. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just sit and chat while we wait for customers. Other times, it’s a rush and we are busy helping people figure out which size suitcase fits what they need. The floor gets a bit scuffed from people rolling the bags around to test the wheels, but that’s just how it is. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood. We’ve seen Marathahalli change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still here doing our thing day in and day out. It’s a practical place for practical people. No frills, just bags and a place to buy them for your next trip.
