1 Pxdesign Com is tucked away on the 10th Cross in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, over in the Kanakanagar area. It’s a bit quieter here than the main roads, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on a screen all day. We’ve got a small office at number 111. It’s basically just a few rooms with desks, computers, and way too many cables running along the floor. We don't have a big sign out front or anything fancy. Most of the time, we’re just sitting here drinking coffee and working on different design projects. Sometimes we get stuck on a problem and end up staring at the wall for a bit, but that’s part of the process. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so you hear the sounds of families and the occasional vegetable vendor passing by. It’s a pretty relaxed atmosphere. We don't wear suits or follow a strict corporate schedule. If the work needs to get done, we stay late; if it’s a slow day, we might leave a little early. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we like the pace of it. It’s not a high-pressure studio with glass walls. It’s just a place where a few people who like design come to work every day. We handle our own emails and keep our own files organized, more or less. It’s a decent way to make a living. We try to keep the coffee pot full and the monitors bright while we work through our lists day after day.
