L&T Construction Equipment Limited-Hydraulics Division

If you head out towards Doddaballapura and find Survey No.28 in Thammashetti Halli, that’s where you’ll find us. We’re the Hydraulics Division for L&T Construction Equipment Limited. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s quieter out here in Raghunathapura. The facility is huge because the stuff we work on is heavy. We deal with hydraulics, which basically means a lot of oil, pressure, and metal pipes. It’s messy work. You can’t really do this job without getting your hands dirty. We spend a lot of time testing valves and cylinders to make sure they don’t leak under pressure. The sun gets pretty hot out here during the afternoons, but the sheds provide some shade while we’re working on the assembly lines. Most of us live nearby or take the bus in. We aren't big on fancy speeches or corporate slogans. We just look at the drawings, grab the tools, and start building. Some days the logistics are a headache, especially getting the big components moved around the yard. We have a canteen where we eat lunch and complain about the weather or talk about the latest cricket match. It’s a grounded life. People here know their machines inside out. We’ve been part of this landscape for a while, and we just keep doing what we do every day without complaining much.
