Om Engineering

Om Engineering is based at Plot No. 79 inside the Gidc Estate. It is a pretty typical spot for a workshop like ours. We have been here for years, and the building shows its age a bit, but it is sturdy enough for the machines. We do not have much in the way of a front office. Most of the space is taken up by our lathes and drill presses. It is a bit cramped sometimes when we have a lot of material delivered, but we work around it. The floor is usually covered in metal chips by midday. We do standard engineering work for the other businesses nearby. Most of our customers are locals who just walk in with a sketch on a piece of paper. We do not use any fancy software for that. We just look at the piece, measure it up, and get started. It is a loud place when all the machines are running at once. We have got a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We know each other’s habits and how to get things done without talking much. The Gidc estate can be a bit chaotic with all the traffic, but we like it here. It is where the work is. We are not trying to be anything we are not. We just run a simple engineering shop and try to keep the machines in good shape for the next job.
