We are located right at the heart of the action, at Shop No. 11 in the Market Yard Shopping Centre. It’s right across from the V.J. Patel Vegetable Market. If you’ve been to the market yard, you know how loud and busy it gets. We are a company made up of organic farmers from the Banaskantha area. We set this up so we could have a place to bring our produce and manage things together. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with bags of grain or crates of whatever is in season. There’s always someone coming in to talk about the weather or the price of seeds. We don’t have fancy furniture. We just have a few chairs and a desk where we keep the books. It gets dusty with all the trucks moving around outside. We focus on getting things from the farm to the people without all the middle layers. It’s hard work being a farmer, and this office is where we handle the business side of that struggle. We aren’t trying to be a big supermarket brand. We’re just the same people who grow the food. You can usually find us here during market hours, just trying to make a living. Banaskantha Organicfarmer Producercompany Limited is just our group effort to keep things local and fair. We've seen good years and bad years, but being together makes the hard times a bit easier to handle for everyone.
