Sanjeev Rice Mills

Down in Usraila, specifically in the Khejuri Sikanderpur area, you’ll find Sanjeev Rice Mills. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but we like the space. The mill is a noisy place, especially when the harvest is in and we are running at full capacity. There is always a fine layer of dust in the air, and the smell of grain is everywhere. We work with the local farmers around the district. They bring their crops, and we process the rice. It’s a cycle we’ve been part of for years. The machines are old but they are reliable if you treat them right. We have a small team of local guys who know how to handle the equipment. It’s not a corporate setup with a human resources department. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out and fix it. We spend our days hauling heavy sacks and watching the sorters. During the peak season, we are here from early morning until late at night. The power goes out sometimes, and we just wait it out or use the generator. It’s practical work that fills the belly. We don't spend money on advertising because the people who need us already know where the mill is located. It’s just us, the grain, and the sound of the engines running all day long.
