Dada Pulses Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Ward No.18 on Gallamandi Road. We are on the Rath Mahua Road, very close to the Bank of Baroda. Being near the Gallamandi means we are right in the heart of the grain trade. There are always tractors and trolleys loaded with produce passing by our gates. The air is often thick with the dust from the pulses we handle. It is a very active place to work. Inside our facility, we have large machines for cleaning and sorting the dal. The noise is constant during the day, so you have to shout a bit to be heard. We have a small office near the entrance where we keep the records and talk to the farmers. It is not a fancy place; the floor is concrete and the walls are painted a dull yellow. We have a lot of bags stacked up high, waiting to be shipped out. The bank nearby makes it convenient for the financial side of things, but it also means the road is always blocked with motorcycles. We have a few regular workers who know exactly how to handle the heavy sacks without complaining. We do not have a mission statement on the wall. We just focus on getting the pulses processed and sent to the market. Dada Pulses is just a part of the daily life on Gallamandi Road. It is a tough job but we have been doing it for years.
