Sulagna Sc College

Out here in Alupur, things move at a bit of a slower pace than the big cities. Sulagna Sc College is sitting right in Balasore, Odisha 756001, and it’s a place many locals know well. When you walk through the area, you see a lot of cycles parked near the entrance. The building itself is straightforward, nothing too flashy, just rooms where we get the work done. The heat in Odisha can get pretty intense during the summer months, so the ceiling fans are usually going full speed all day long. We have a lot of students from the nearby villages who come in early. Some of us stay back late to sort out the registers and clean up. It’s a practical kind of place. The neighborhood has a few small shops where people grab tea or some snacks during the break. You’ll often hear the sound of cows or the distant horn of a truck from the main road. The walls are painted a simple color and there’s always a bit of dust because of the breeze coming off the fields. It’s just a regular college where we know most people by their first names. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people coming in and out, it’s always got that lived-in feel. It’s our corner of Balasore and we’ve been part of the landscape here for quite a while now.
