Lucky Engg. Works

Lucky Engg. Works is over in Balasore, Orissa. We are tucked away near Banka Khajur Chhhaka in the Sunhat area. It’s actually at Md. Ahmed Hossain’s place, which serves as our main point of contact. Balasore is the kind of town where everyone knows a bit about what’s going on, and our engineering shop is just part of the local landscape. It gets pretty loud here with the machines running, and there is usually a bit of oil and metal shavings on the floor, but that’s an engineering workshop for you. We don’t spend money on fancy paint or decorations because the work is what matters. The sun gets really hot in Orissa, so the workshop can feel like an oven in the summer, but we just keep the doors open and keep moving. We do a lot of small repairs and custom bits for people around the district. It’s not a massive factory with thousands of workers; it’s more of a hands-on, greasy-fingers type of job. Sometimes we sit out front near the P.O. Sunhat when it’s quiet and just watch the cycles go by. We’ve been at this for a long time, and the machines we use are old but they still work better than some of the new ones. It is just a simple, hardworking life here in Balasore, making sure things get fixed and people stay happy with the results we provide for them every single day.
