Varsha Arm Seedredemts

Out here in Sidhipur village, things move a bit slower than they do in the city. Our place, Varsha Arm Seedredemts, is right near the Hanuman Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple while we are working during the day. Being in the Tehsil area means we see a lot of local farmers every single day. They come in with dirt on their boots and stories about the rain or the lack of it. We deal with seeds and other supplies for the land. The shop isn't very large, but we pack it full of bags. During the planting season, it gets really crowded in here with people coming and going. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the bags get stacked a bit high and it’s hard to move. I grew up around here, so I know most of the families by name. We spend a lot of time just talking about the crops and which seeds worked well last year. It’s not just about selling things; it’s about being part of the village life. Sometimes we sit outside on wooden stools when it’s not too hot. The dust from the road comes in through the door, so we are always sweeping. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. If someone is looking for us, they just ask for the shop near the mandir and anyone will point the way. It’s a quiet life, but the work is important.
