Plateau Model School

Plateau Model School is a familiar spot for many people living in Bahadurgarh. We aren’t on one of the main highways, so it’s a bit more tucked away, which helps with the noise level. The building has a few floors and a small courtyard where we gather for things. It’s the kind of place where you know the person working at the front desk because you see them at the grocery store. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. The desks are wooden, the walls are painted a simple off-white, and the bells are rung manually. Most of us who work here have been doing this for a long time. We have our routines, like the tea break at 11:00 or the way we line up the kids before they go home. We focus on the daily tasks of checking homework and making sure the registers are filled out correctly. It's a very human place. People lose their umbrellas, kids forget their sweaters, and we find them and put them in the lost and found box.
