If you head out to Barubinoli in Bagpat, you will find us at Sarjit Singh’s place. It’s right in the middle of the farming country here. We started this producer company because we saw how much trouble the individual farmers were having on their own. Sarjit has been here a long time and everyone knows his house. We spend a lot of time out in the fields, looking at the crops and talking about the harvest. It’s a very local thing, just us and the neighbors working together. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing team. Most of our work is done through word of mouth and face-to-face conversations. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to do everything by hand, but that’s just life in the village. We handle things like getting the right fertilizers and making sure the grain is stored properly. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on us in the middle of summer. But we are all in this together. We try to keep things honest and straightforward without any of that corporate talk you hear in the bigger cities. We just want to make sure the farmers in our part of Bagpat can keep their heads above water. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset.
