Choudhari Sahab Punjab Haryana Dhaba

Living and working on Lucknow Road in Faridpur is mostly about watching the trucks go by. Our dhaba, Choudhari Sahab Punjab Haryana Dhaba, is located near Lotus College so we see a lot of students along with the long-distance drivers. Bareilly is a busy area and this road is a main link for many travelers. We have a lot of space for parking which is important for the big trucks. The air always smells a bit like diesel and cooked spices. We started this place because people needed a spot to sit down and rest for a bit. There are no fancy menus here. We just have what is made for the day. My brother and I usually handle the cooking while a couple of boys help with the serving. It gets very cold here in the winters and we keep the tea boiling all the time. In the summers we put out some cots under the shade so people can take a quick nap after eating. We are just simple people running a roadside business. The address is easy to find if you are driving towards Bareilly. Sometimes the college kids stay for a long time just talking and we do not mind that. We just keep the place running and try to make sure there is enough food for everyone who pulls over. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn until late at night.
