Uma Building Material

If you are driving down the Main Road in Rani Ki Sarai, you will probably see our yard right near the State Bank of India. It’s a convenient spot because everyone knows where the bank is located. We keep a lot of different things here, from bricks to sand and whatever else people might need to put a building together. It gets pretty crowded in the yard sometimes when a couple of trucks come in at once to load up. My cousin and I run the place, and we are usually covered in some kind of grit by the time lunch rolls around. The traffic on the main road can be a bit of a headache, especially on market days, but being right there makes it easy for folks to find us without getting lost. We don't have a polished showroom or anything fancy like that. Everything is just sitting out there under the sky, waiting to be picked up. We’ve seen a lot of houses go up in this area over the years, and it’s nice to know we had a hand in it by providing the materials they needed. We spend a lot of time just moving piles from one side to the other. It’s honest work, and it keeps us moving. People stop by after they finish their business at the bank, asking about what we have in stock. We don't try to be anything we aren't; we just provide the basic stuff for people.
